Slice of Life 〰️
Most of the time, I prefer starting with the visuals before deciding what to say or write.
Meaning that very often, my posts first have the pictures, and then the text to go with it. (Whenever the only picture is the title card, it means that for once I started with the text)
I’ve always been a very visual person. I don’t like writing down in advance what I’m going to say, same when I teach. Very often, I build my Powerpoint, or here my collages, with a goal in mind, and as I build it I explore what I want to say, in what order, and what is relevant or what isn’t.
Today is a bit more peculiar. It’s a collage, for the sake of a collage.
I’m a hoarder, I like to cut out plenty of things if they speak to me. And every now and then, I will lay out all my findings to see if I find an identity. Of course, it rarely all fit in one singular visual identity, so I keep the rest for later.
What you have below is what my brain decided belonged together.
I won’t try to make an essay out of it, because for once, I’d rather let the visuals speak.
As a side note, for those of you who don’t speak french (or cannot decipher my handwriting) :
top left : only petals are allowed to bloom
bottom left : the rose has thorns but we prevented her from using her claws
top right : a patch of roses
bottom right : pink is only a shade away from red
